We at GHAVFD want to get the community of Glen Haven more involved with the fire department.  This forum is just another way to communicate with the community.

TERMINATOR 

The Terminator has a new home!  The GHAVFD has donated the old "Tanker" to the Retreat Landowners Association for use as a water truck for maintenance of Retreat roads.  This is a "win-win" solution for the entire community in that it fullfills a need for the Retreat, and keeps a large capacity water tanker in the area in the event of a large fire incident requiring large quantities of "water-on-wheels".  This project will satisfy the requirements of the FEMA grant which purchased T-33 as a replacement for T-32 (the Terminator),  stating that the replaced vehicle must be removed from service as a firefighting vehicle.
